Part arrived quickly and fit well with a satisfying click. Reasonably durable, too. After a quick installation in the door (I recommend taking a well lit picture before removing any screws) it functions as well as the original. Comparing the two parts before installation the sizing was precise and it's clear plenty of care, research, and testing went into its design. Wouldn't hesitate to buy again at this price point if needed, though I might upgrade to your metal replacement if it breaks again.

The inner and outer splines for the power tool drives properly, however the Shopsmith power accessory coupler has an internal spring to keep horizontal pressure towards the accessory tool. That way, should the power head loosen and move away, the coupler will disconnect from the power head. Without the spring, in the same senario, the coupler could stay connected to the power head and become a missle. This spline adapter is hollow at the center. It should be filled solid.
